Which aspect of Stalinism had the most long-lasting effect on gender? Central planners set wages low and productivity targets high. Firms readily hired more workers. This systematically raised female employment. Propaganda championed gender equality.
This seems to me like a good argument for Open Borders, which could replicate this modernization effect globally, but non-coercively. (At least to the extent that First World emigration goes beyond expat bubbles).
I am confused by the Miho et al. graph suggesting that Russian (in Siberia - area of deportation) and German male literacy in 1897 were comparable. According to the 1897 Census, Siberia's literacy rate was even lower than European Russia's, something like 20% IIRC. So Russian men in Siberia couldn't have been at more than 30%, but the graph claims 60%.
Perhaps the reason post-Communist countries are so sexist is that the long term effect of communism and its collapse has been to leave egalitarianism discredited or at least suspect. (That may change over the longer term as new generations grow up with no memory of communism.) You certainly see this with the great awokening and its backlash, with the backlash being politically powerful in Eastern Europe in part because the modern left reminds many people of communists. This backlash effect is especially notable in Germany, where the far-right AfD is more popular in the former East Germany than in the West. I'm not sure to what extent this applies to feminism in particular, though.

Accurate statistics cannot be taken because many ex-muslim atheists simply stay silent about their apostacy, atheism. And their numbers are growing... and growing. While several apostates do have Youtube channels and other social media where they openly discuss it (if they physically reside in safe countries to do so), many of the anonymous commenters and people they interview, do not provide photos or other identifying information about themselves. For many, even if they live in a safe country, in order to stay in their families they remain anonymous. To take statistics of "muslims births" assuming those babies will grow up to remain muslims is increasingly not true.
As far as Islamic caliphates celebrating sexuality, of course --- male sexuality only.
Obviously I am not condoning any kind of violence, the forced oppression of religion, forced labour or the impunity for rape (in both homes and prisons).
And possibly implications for the intensity of patriarchy in ethnic Arab or Palestinian families in Israel, of Christian, Sunni Muslim, or Druze religion, who survived the Nakba of the 1940s in place and whose daughters may be doctors, lawyers, or business owners or models (one year, a Miss Israel) at higher rates than under a different regime and majority?
The outstanding role your quantitative studies show for Protestantism makes me think that the Indian government rule over Muslim majority areas of Kashmir, and any associate additional in-migration of Hindus (I don't know if there is much beyond Jammu and the Vale traditional areas) waters down Islamic areas' patriarchy - it might slow the spread of of trendy increases in partriarchy from Pakistan.

One insight into Inceldom, is that actually, almost everybody, even most male incel's, have rendered someone else, "incel" relative to them at some point in their lives. IE, a girl or a woman (or a dude) had a crush on them, but *they* weren't interested. The antidote to the Incel conceptual spiral is the fight the sense of self-entitlement/self-centeredness at its root that people might get get from their mother's unconditional love, if their mother doesn't put it in context. The antidote is to realize, and accept, the right and freedom of all people, of all genders, to like or not to like, to love or not to love. No more than you'd be falsely drafted into romance, must/should the universe do the same for you. Romantic connection is luck and happenstance, good if you can get it, but not 'owed' to anyone by anyone.
Also worrying is the increase in Islamic patriarchy outside of majority muslim countries. Some (many would argue, most or all) of those countries have their own patriarchies to deal with and then on top of it Islamic patriarchy gets imported.
Yet in the Anglosphere, at least in the transoceanic parts of it like the Americas and the Antipodes where jet travel is the default mode of migrating from the Near East or South Asia's Muslim or Hindu countries, or Buddhist or Confucian, that migration *does* provide a good share of society's "model" citizens in terms of law-abiding, tax-paying, high-skilled workers and professionals and entrepreneurs. Major impoverishment of medicine and STEM fields in America without Muslims. Ironically, Islamic professional brain drain to western countries mirrors, by profession, many of the areas that remained fields dominated by surviving religious minorities in the Islamic world after the conquest like Jews, Christians, Zoroastrians, and later Baha'is.
