Confirmation bias and group think are two big dangers for all social scientists. In my bid to overcome these foes, I try to read widely and immerse myself in diverse cultures. But I still get stuff wrong. No one has ever written a theory of gender relations in one country, let alone the whole world. Error is inevitable.
